Coaches
MaKenna Warminsky, Varsity Head Coach
Coach Warminsky is in her 3rd year coaching and 1st season with GHS. She coaches club for Gold Coast and was previously the Freshmen Assistant Coach at New Canaan High School.
Originally from Allentown, PA, Coach W graduated from Parkland High School in 2017. During her time there, she played midfield & defense, helping lead her team to three East Penn Conference titles and two District XI championships.
Coach W continued her lacrosse career at Kutztown University at the Division II level, where she earned PSAC Scholar Athlete honors all four years and the DII ADA Academic Achievement Award in her junior season. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education.
Currently, she teaches 8th grade special education at CMS. In her free time, she likes to read, play video games, and golf.
Kristen Schmidt, Varsity Assistant Coach
Kristen is in her 2nd year assistant coaching the GHS Girls Varsity team. She grew up in Pleasantville, NY and played on their first Varsity Lacrosse team. She then went on to play defense at Keene State College in New Hampshire.
Coach Kris has coached at various levels, most recently as the assistant Varsity Coach at Westhill High School. When not coaching, you can find her at Equinox Greenwich, either personal training or teaching an array of groups classes from conditioning to yoga.
Andrew Morton, Varsity Volunteer Assistant Coach
Andrew is in his 8th year coaching girls in Greenwich and 5th at GHS. He began coaching at GYL, where his teams won multiple CONNY titles during his tenure. Andrew played high school lacrosse at Phillips Andover where he was an All- American selection, then played college lacrosse at Dartmouth where he was an All-Ivy selection.
