Coaches
Tara Clough
Varsity Head Coach
Coach Clough joined the Cardinals in September 2019 to prepare for her inaugural season with the program in 2020. Previously, she was head varsity coach at Sacred Heart Greenwich for 5 years, where she led the Tigers to FAA Championship titles in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and an 18-1 record and national ranking in 2019. Clough was a multi-sport athlete in New Canaan and went on to play lacrosse at Notre Dame, where she was part of the program's launch and elected team captain. She began her coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Boston College and currently coaches with the CT Grizzlies lacrosse club. In 2020, she coached the CONNY Under Armour All-American Command Division team, comprised of 2023-24 graduates, to a national championship.
Kristen Schmidt grew up in Pleasantville, NY and played on the first Varsity Lacrosse team at that school. She then went on to play college lacrosse at Keene State.
She has coached at various levels most recently as the assistant Varsity Coach at Westhill High School. When not coaching she is a fitness instructor at Equinox in Greenwich, CT.

Andrew is in his 8th year coaching girls in Greenwich and 5th at GHS. He began coaching at GYL, where his teams won multiple CONNY titles during his tenure. Andrew played high school lacrosse at Phillips Andover where he was an All- American selection, then played college lacrosse at Dartmouth where he was an All-Ivy selection.
